What is Nourishing With Nature?

We live in a fast paced world, where screen time has replaced much needed green time, leaving us disconnected from experiences of imagination, community exploration. Despite our natural need to find moments of rest and reflection, slowing down in today’s society feels like a luxury we can’t afford or disapproved upon. But what if you could offer yourself small moments to connect with the seen and unseen world, turn inwards and be aware, and create everyday awe?

  • Supporting the Nervous System

    Utilizing mindfulness, therapeutically inspired yoga, and nervous system monitoring and soothing techniques to foster mind-body connection. Together we will identify inner resilience, stress management and develop radical care routines for self-preservation. Through focusing on areas of need we can empower nervous system support, self-care practices and somatic attunement. Through incorporating elements of nature can inspire and encourage space to foster self-acceptance and care, explore and welcome all experiences and whatever feeling travels with each moments.

  • Building Empathy and Connection

    Enhancing relationships and social connection through cultivating reciprocity and engagement with the environment.  Natural beings teach us resilience, the ability to adapt and inner-dependence on one another. The living world continues to have so many themes of connection- from the mycelium pathways deep below, to the intermingling branches of trees and the shadows of shade created by the sun.  We will engage with elements of the nature world to create narratives. problem solve, build connection and empathy; through the development of reciprocity from us to the littlest slug to the largest tree, all stakeholders contributing to the community we are all part of.

  • Finding lightness with play and creativity

    Using Expressive Arts Therapy, imagination and nature-based activities to connect to the inner child and personal empowerment. Natural beings teach us resilience, the ability to adapt and inner-dependence on one another.   • Encouraging Self-inquiry

    Applying solution-focused strategies for problem-solving, radical self-care, and proactive approaches through story-telling, lessons and philosophies from Elders, Naturalists, Philosophy and Psychological Ideologies to discover aspects of self-determination that resonates within. We will explore themes of patterns found in nature, seasonal trends and lessons we can learn from the land for functionality and adaptation. Alongside the items we may collect or borrow from the earth, we can honor connection of integral parts of the self to the external ecosystems we are working within. We will explore these themes and ideological wisdom that have been around for many, many years to support overall wellness.
